PPEN had a meeting on Sunday May 5th at the West Kittanning Firehall located at 401 Arthur St, Kittanning. This was a full scheduled meeting. Starting at 1:00 there was a quick recap on the laundry detergent and washer that was presented Friday night April 26th. We have many people asking for this information to be emailed or sent to them and we have decided that we cannot start doing that. Please refer to the newsletter that will be out this weekend as well. Our topic, starting at 1:30 on Sunday will be Certification on Self-defense weapons (excluding firearms). Presenter will be Master Winterhawk from Hawk Martial Arts. There is a $5.00 per person fee for this certification class! You can pay on the day of the event however we do ask for an RSVP if you know for sure you will be attending. Please text Ruth at 724-525-0773 with your name and confirmation you will be attending. This helps determine how many teachers/helpers are needed so everyone can have the best training possible. As always, we appreciate your cooperation. We will also have round two of the tactical pens available that day for a minimum donation of $8.00 per pen. Thank you to everyone who purchased the first round!
Last Meeting
We will be having a meeting/class on Friday April 26th at 7PM. It will be held at the West Kittanning Firehall, 401 Arthur St, Kittanning. Doors will open at 6:30.
Our topic and discussion will be Laundry when there is a long term power outage. Did you ever think of how you will wash your clothes? Ruth will show us how to make a non-electric washer that won’t bust your knuckles, and it won’t break the bank. As a bonus, she will show us how to make homemade laundry detergent that is easy to make, and it’s gentle enough for delicates but will also get work clothes clean. The real bonus is, there will be enough to give samples so you can try it before making your own. We just ask that it be one sample per household.
Also, at our last meeting with Winterhawk, there were a lot of people asking about the tactical pen that Ruth has. We will be ordering a bulk amount of those and selling them at our meeting. Price is not determined yet but will be very reasonable.
Master Winterhawk will do a certification class for us on Sunday afternoon May 5th. That meeting invite will go out separately. It is fast approaching so keep an eye out for it.
Short notice here but we are having another meeting on FRIDAY April 5th at 7:00 PM at the WKFD. Doors will open at 6:30. Please help us spread the word!
